> The Cognitive Ethology Lab of the German Primate Center is searching for a motivated student assistant to conduct behavioural observations of a group of Guinea baboons at Nürnberg Zoo (Tiergarten Nürnberg). The project offers the possibility of conducting a bachelor/master thesis in collaboration with our lab.

> A paid 6-month student assistant position (ideally 86 h per month). We cover all work-related travel costs.

> An opportunity to gain new skills and experience in collecting animal behavioural data, which is relevant to research in behaviour and ecology

> This position is open to all students with an interest in animal behaviour and primate social relationships. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who:

> Are strongly motivated, reliable, and committed
> Show good initiative, with a willingness to learn and an attention to detail
> Ideally the candidate would have some experience in observing primates or other animal species in the field or in captivity but such expertise is not required
> The candidate needs to be able to understand and speak English. German is recommended.
