<div>Student Assistant needed for Guinea Baboon Research at Nürnberg Zoo</div>

<div><br>The Cognitive Ethology Lab of the German Primate Center is searching

for a motivated student assistant to conduct behavioural observations of a group

of Guinea baboons at Nürnberg Zoo (Tiergarten Nürnberg). The project offers the

possibility of conducting a bachelor/master thesis in collaboration with our

lab.</div>

<div><br>The position is available to start as early as possible and before June

2023.</div>

<div><br>What we offer:</div>

<ul>

 <li>A paid 6-month student assistant position (ideally 86 h per month). We

 cover all work-related travel costs. </li>

 <li>The possibility of conducting a bachelor/master thesis in collaboration

 with our lab </li>

 <li>An amazing opportunity to learn about the lives of a group of Guinea

 baboons </li>

 <li>An opportunity to gain new skills and experience in collecting animal

 behavioural data, which is relevant to research in behaviour and ecology </li>

 <li>The chance to train with an experienced behavioural biologist</li></ul><p>This position is open to all students with an interest in animal behaviour

and primate social relationships. We are particularly keen to hear from

applicants who:</p>

<ul>

 <li>Are strongly motivated, reliable, and committed </li>

 <li>Show good initiative, with a willingness to learn and an attention to

 detail </li>

 <li>Ideally the candidate would have some experience in observing primates or

 other animal species in the field or in captivity but such expertise is not

 required </li>

 <li>The candidate needs to be able to understand and speak English. German is
