Dear all,
We will take our guest speaker after his presentation out to dinner, and it would be great if you could join, as the more, the merrier. We plan to go to "Haus und Hof" https://www.haus-und-hof.biz/haus-und-hof, a nice place at the Reileck, as the Objekt 5 seems to be closed on Mondays. Please let me know if you would like to join until Monday morning so I can make a reservation.
In case Haus and Hof are full, we would go to Bay Vegan, which is also close by https://www.happycow.net/reviews/bay-vegan-halle-286837
Best Pina

Hereby he is especially interested in the characterisation of evolutionary pressures and dynamics that impact the evolution of viruses across scales. He worked with diverse systems, such as the origin of the measles virus, dengue virus, and west Nile virus, but also pest viruses in shrew genomes and influence viruses. In all these systems, he focused on emergences and zoonosis.

Among other things, he is interested in detecting novel viruses ( via Untargeted metagenomics) and epidiomolgy of viruses (known/unknown), so I think he would also be pretty interested in talking with people who don’t focus themselves on the virus but gathered collections of bees.
