Hi all,

Following our discussion today about the guppies in high-predation and 
low-predation environments, indeed what they found was evolution not 
plasticity.

 > Guppies from high-predation environments had different phenotypes 
than lower-predation ones;

 > when some individuals, that had been evolving in its environment for 
several generations, were transferred into a novel environment they had 
lower fitness than the guppies that had been evolving in that specific 
environment for several generations.

 > This was true when guppies from high-predation were transferred to 
lower-predation environment and when guppies from lower-predation were 
transfered to high-predation environment.
