>
>
> We aim to bring together women researchers of all career stages working in iDiv. Our initiative welcomes all iDiv female scientists from Halle, Jena and Leipzig, including iDiv members and associate members. Our initiative started in 2023 and was initially supported by the Female Scientist Career Fund of iDiv.
>
>
>
> Our monthly meetings are mainly held at the iDiv Core Centre at Leipzig and are organized in hybrid mode so our colleagues from other Centers and Institutes can join.
>
>
>
> The main aims of the initiative are:
>
> 1) Creating a networking platform to meet and exchange (e.g., monthly lunch meetings, set up shared Slack, after work-drinks)
>
> 2) Promoting technical skills and tools of possibilities to improve professional career (coaching, ombudsperson).
>
> 3) Increasing transparency of the female gap ("leaky pipeline") in leadership positions, especially in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics, and reasons (movies, e.g., "Picture a scientist"), invite experts (social scientists, coaches), and invite talks of experienced females.
>
> 4) Hosting inclusive talks to increase awareness and equality within iDiv (informative and inclusive talks for females and males).
>
> 5) Engaging with female scientists' initiatives beyond iDiv.
