Dear Atilla Çelikgil,



I hope you are well.



Before stating the purpose of this email, I would like to quickly introduce
myself. My name is Marcos Echevarria, I am an MSc student in European
Politics at the LSE and am currently undertaking an investigation on
European identity as part of my thesis project.



The investigation looks at the development of a common European identity as
a result of student mobility and entails the collection of primary data via
a questionnaire. As part of the sampling procedure, which is a mixture of
cluster and stratified techniques, I am approaching gatekeepers (in this
case university teachers and staff) to share the questionnaire with
students.



Your university, your department/institute (Zoology) and yourself—together
with some of your colleagues—are part of the final sample selected for this
study, carried out in 10 European Member States and over 30 universities. I
would, therefore, like to kindly ask for your collaboration in the
investigation and to share the questionnaire with your students.



The survey is targeted at university students of all levels (from
undergrads to PhD), is completely anonymous, takes 5-10 minutes to
complete, and has been approved by the ethics committee at the LSE.



If this is something that you are willing and capable to help with, please
do let me know and I will share the questionnaire, together with brief
instructions, to send to your students. If you have any questions and would
like to discuss the data collection—or the research in general—I would be
more than happy to answer via email or call, as you prefer.



I am also more than happy to share with you the research ethics approval,
as well as a letter from my department supporting the investigation, or
even a preview of the questionnaire.



Finally, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my request
