Title: "Pollination in the tropical Andes of Colombia"

Abstract: Pollination is a fundamental process for plant reproduction
with implications for the maintenance of genetic diversity
of plant population and the structuring of communities. Landscape
transformation due to the loss of natural habitat and
urbanisation, and climate change are the major causes of changes not
only in species diversity, but in pollination networks. In
the tropics, more than 90% of plant species depend on biotic
pollination. Despite this, the knowledge about the diversity of
pollinators and the pattern of organization and the nature of
interactions with plants is still poorly understood, both in natural
and urban environments. In my line of research, the focus has been about
the knowledge of diversity and structure of pollination
network interactions, and the influence of factors that spatially and
temporally impact such structure in the mountain ecosystems
in the Andes in Colombia.
