A Beginner's Guide to Next Generation Sequencing Applications in
DNA Research
DNA sequencing is the
process of determining the sequence of nucleotides in a DNA molecule.
The technique is widely used in life sciences and medicine and continues
to grow in popularity thanks to the advances and convenience of Next
Generation Sequencing platforms. As researchers explore more challenging
samples and applications, they are pushing the limits of current
technologies. The rapid development of Next Generation Sequencing has
been instrumental in accelerating biological and medical research,
making it an important tool for research and diagnostics.
In this webinar we will
present the history of Next Generation Sequencing, including an overview
of the available sequencing platforms - Illumina, Pacific Biosciences
and Oxford Nanopore Technology - and their different principles. We will
also explore the most commonly used sequencing strategies in DNA
research, such as whole genome sequencing, whole exome sequencing,
metagenomics, epigenomics and others. Join us to gain a comprehensive
understanding of the latest developments in Next Generation Sequencing
applications in DNA research.
In this free webinar, you
will learn about the following topics:
* Current methodologies in Next Generation Sequencing
* DNA sequencing parameters, including sample types and requirements
* Frequently used data analysis approaches
* Latest Next Generation Sequencing platforms
