Dear All,

Fernando has just contacted me to say that he has become ill with Covid-19. He started to feel unwell Thursday night/Friday morning, had fever, and tested positive both with a quick test on Friday and by PCR on Saturday (the result has juts come through), He now has a slight fever but is apparently stable.

On Monday morning, I will find out exactly what those of us in contact with Fernando over the past days need to do e.g. self-isolate. I will inform you at tomorrow's lab meeting, which will be online. If you come to Hoher Weg 8 tomorrow, please either (i) if you are an MLU employee, take a Corona quick test as soon arrive or (ii) if you are not an MLU employee, take a quick test at a pharmacy or that you purchase. Since Saturday, everyone is allowed to have one free quick test per week in a public test centre.

Tomorrow’s paper discussion will be on-line, not in presence. With high numbers of new corona cases, I suggest that we make all Monday and Thursday meetings as ‘on-line’ till the situation improves.
