Dear All,

Thank you to those of you who have been into the lab today to help resolve the -80C freezer problems.

The old -80 freezer seems not to be working and is now off till further notice.
The middle -80 freezer was at -40 and is now (2 hours ago) at -65 so seems to be working again
The newest -80 freezer is OK, hovering around -80, working fine

The physiological zoology freezer seems to be not working; it hovers around -26C
The physiological zoology -20C freezer was off but is now working again

Simon’s two ant cages are broken and not attached to electricity

Anna, if you are (or if anyone else is) going to the lab on Sunday, please check our two -80C freezer to make sure they are around -80C. If they seem to have stopped working, please phone the weekend emergency technical number:

They will arrive within 39 minutes out-of-hours i.e. any time of day or night over the weekend.
