[Mitarbeiter.zoologie] bee wings

Dear all,

As you know I will be dissecting my bees for RNA extraction, but I would
also like to take some photos of other body parts for future measurement.
In this case I am interested in taking photos of the wings and I was
investigating what could be the best way to mount them for photos (possibly
for morphometric analysis) and maybe long term storage.

I tried to mount them with a microscope slide and coverslip using water,
but it did not work (once my samples were frozen, the wings are not
straight anymore).

Given this I would like to know if any of you have (or know someone who has
had) experience with this and it would be great if you could share this
knowledge with me.

Best,
Andreia
