Hello!

I'm looking for one or two grad students and a post-doc to join my lab
in the next year (see attached docs). We're working on comparative
phylogenomics of specialized plant-pollination interactions
(/Calceolaria/ and oil-bees!), and on the effect of the landscape on the
ecological and evolutionary dynamics of pollination interactions in
fragmented landscapes (using the US E coast serpentine prairies as a
model). We use molecular, ecological, and spatial approaches to
investigate all these questions, and we try to complement and integrate
all the approaches in all our projects. I'm looking for grad students to
work on these two projects, and on a post-doc to work on /Calceolaria/
phylogenomics (and phylogeography, if interested).

The lab <http://anahiespindola.github.io/> is at U of Maryland
Entomology. I can't overstate how awesome this Department setting is.
Along with the very welcoming and intellectually motivating atmosphere,
UMD Entomology has a lot of connections with other Departments within
UMD, but also with many important local and national organizations, such
as the Smithsonian, many DC-metro Universities, the USDA labs, the USGS
bee lab, the National Parks Service, etc. Our lab has also a strong
national and international network of collaborators, and we're strong
believers in the importance of promoting and integrating cultural,
professional, biological and methodological diversity.

If you know of anybody interested in the topics we research, don't
hesitate to put them in touch with me!

Also, I would really appreciate it if you could circulate this message
within your networks.

Thanks, and hope you're well!!

Anahi
