Early-career scientists are invited to design ignite sessions (‘speed-talks’) that create entertaining and interactive platforms for knowledge exchange. We are happy to offer professional training for this challenging but fun talk format, and maybe you will even win the talk award! Besides the best talk, we will reward the best poster and, for the first time, acknowledge an outstanding outreach effort with the iDiv Science Communication Award (www.idiv.de/isca <http://www.idiv.de/isca>). This year, contributions to present and discuss the human and societal dimension of biodiversity research and management are especially welcome.
