[Mitarbeiter.zoologie] issues with labs/offices

Dear All,

To repeat safety issues from Monday’s lab meeting, and to add to them:

1. Make sure windows are closed in a lab/office when you leave it, especially late in the day when you might be the last in the room.

2. Close and lock all lab/office doors when you leave them in the afternoon/evening as you might be the last in the room.

3. Do not move pipettes between benches. If you are in need of a pipette, ask Anja M or myself.

4. When taking Taq from the stock freezer, add your name to the Taq list so Anja M knows how much remains in the freezer. 

5. IMPORTANT. Do not remove boxes of others from the -80C freezers. Yesterday, Tabea found one of her boxes from the -80C freezer on the lab bench, warm. She had to dispose of it. It will cost a lot of time and money to replace the samples. If you need to move a box into or out of one of our -80C freezers, do not disturb the boxes of others.
