<div>Hi everyone!</div>
<div>Sorry to bother you with this. But when good things happen, it is good also to share it. </div>
<div>The second round was already and with a strong advantage (more than 21% difference) Bernardo Arevalo won. The elections were dramatic, there were attack to cars and votation centers with bombs and Semilla (seed) the party from Arevalo is still under pressure of the goverment. This is a card that for sure they will still play.</div>
<div>I talk with many friends, and many that in past elections were not voting decide to vote now and precisely for Arevalo. The reaction of the people was immediately and clear they went to the street to celebrate until still some hours in the morning of Guatemala. </div>
<div>We have all a lot of hope, not only because he is the son of the first democratic and academic president in Guatemala but also because he is the first candidate since his father with a strong academic record, great education and diplomacy but also because they represent a team without any political dirty record, that from nothing and with the cheapest political <span class="HwtZe" lang="en"><span class="jCAhz ChMk0b"><span class="ryNqvb">campaign</span></span></span> grow up very fast.</div>
<div>Besides the vice-president is a biologist colleague from the San Carlos university and we also have the hope they will help to resolve the difficult situation in the university. She already promises more support to science, research and woman.</div>
<div>The work of course will be very difficult. They are just the third big group in the congress and the actual people in the power does not want to lose.</div>
<div>But not only many of the other polititians, <span class="HwtZe" lang="en"><span class="jCAhz ChMk0b"><span class="ryNqvb">businessmen, social groups, academia but the people in general has promisse that if necessary we will fight with them for recover the democracy in the country. This is a historic date and we are full of hope and happiness even knowing the way will be very hard.</span></span></span></div>
